I have never liked being on hold when I talk with the customer support of any company. I mean why can't the representative research his/her material while talking to me at the same time? I think if these reps continued to talk more with the customers rather than putting them on hold they would get more appreciations.

Re: Bringing the Helpdesk to Windows Phone

Hi Volker,

After some investigation, I found guidance from Peter Torr, a Program Manager in the Windows Phone 7 Application Platform at http://blogs.msdn.com/b/ptorr/.... It states that providing a backward navigation link from a deep-linked live tile would contravene the Windows Phone 7 design guidelines.

> Tapping on a tile should deep-link directly into the content that the user pinned, and the Back key should always exit the application and return to Start.

> If you deep-link into an item ... it is fine for you to allow further actions to be taken from that point on. But these further explorations must be forward navigations, never backwards... when they are done and they want to return to what they were doing, they can use the Back button.

I will keep this request in mind - but in the mean time, for the sake of consistency with the platform, I will not be making this change.

Re: Bringing the Helpdesk to Windows Phone

Hi Volker,

No worries. Nice work!

Lets see when Live Chat comes into WP. Wow that would bring Kayako to a complete whole new level in customer care and support softwares !!!

Just one suggestion. When you pin a department to the live tile you cannot go to from that department to others after opening.

This means if you pin XX department, then open it, you are restricted to that department only. It would be nice to be able to jump from there to other departments or to the full app. Because you cannot pin all departments, so I have to pin 2 Kayako tiles to the start screen. One for the department I want to receive the push notifications of new tickets and the other one for the full app to let me see all departments.

It would be nice to be able to jump from that department directly to the full app.

Re: Bringing the Helpdesk to Windows Phone

I will be waiting for that ;)

Re: Register for the Kayako Mobile for Windows Phone Beta

The app is now available in the Marketplace - see http://blog.kayako.com/2012/01...

Re: Kayako Mobile for Android Now Available

Now available at http://blog.kayako.com/2011/12...

Re: Bringing the Helpdesk to Windows Phone

A new beta for Kayako Mobile for iOS is out this week, and we'll be publishing it to the App Store shortly afterwards!

Re: Kayako Mobile for Android Now Available

Hello, is it possible to have Live Chat functionality in Kayako Mobile? Is this even the case when starting a brand new report? If yes, please can you submit a support ticket so we can check this out for you? If no, it is most likely to do with the syntax of your KQL (which if you were trying to reference swchatobjects and the like, would be invalid).

Re: A Huge Update… and Introducing Reports 2 Beta and OnSite 2 Beta

Autocomplete actually isn't working at all for me - it doesn't pop anything up, so I have no idea what to work with.

Re: A Huge Update… and Introducing Reports 2 Beta and OnSite 2 Beta

Hi Heather. You're right, we're a bit late on the field reference. We will be putting one together. Right now it is just a case of type and see what the autocomplete suggests (lets) you use.

Talking of swchatobjects specifically, Reports doesn't let you interact with the database directly. Tables and fields are abstracted, so they have different (and we think more intuitive) names and labels.

To see a list of fields you can reference, start typing 'Chats.'

Hope this helps and thank you for the feedback.

Re: A Huge Update… and Introducing Reports 2 Beta and OnSite 2 Beta

I do have SQL knowledge and couldn't pull in a report based on the swchatobjects table - it just sat there and didn't do anything when I hit "run".
